Meet Stuart Binny who surpassed Kumble's ODI record

Stuart Binny created history by taking six wickets for just four runs in 4.4 overs to help bundle Bangladesh out for just 58 in the second One-Day International (ODI) between India and Bangladesh at Dhaka. India won by 47 runs in a match that saw merely 163 runs being scored. He managed to eclipse the Bangladesh debutant Taskin Ahmed's five-wicket haul. After this performance, he surpassed legendary Anil Kumble who had his best of 6-12 against West Indies in 1993. His figures against Bangladesh are the ninth best in ODI history.


 


He is also selected in Team India's test squad for England tour. Binny does have good counter-attacking skills with the ball and bowls medium pace. He will quickly have to master any one of his qualities to be successful for a prolonged period of time or even for a year or so. He doesn't really have a great domestic record either, so he should be having a thing or two to prove his critics, if he in case steps out in England with his whites on.
