Meet Indian batsmen who scored century on test debut

New Delhi: Elegant batsman Rohit Sharma joined the group of those batsmen who scored test hundred in their debut match.After playing 100+ ODI matches for India, Rohit got a chance to play test match for India against the Windies and he used the opportunity well on. Having lost early wickets, India were struggling when Rohit along with MS Dhoni and R.Ashwin jointly contributed with the bat to take India to a comfortable position and scored a well deserved century on debut.Rohit Sharma has joined the club of Indian batsmen who made hundred on debut test match. Here is a list of other Indians who hit ton on test debut: 1. Lala Amarnath: Lala Amarnath made his test debut hundred against England on 15 December 1933. He scored 118 runs. 2. Deepak Shodhan:On 12 December 1952, Deepak scored his test debut ton against arch rivals Pakistan at Eden Gardens, Calcutta. He made 110 runs. 3. A. G. Kripal Singh:At Fateh Maidan, Hyderabad, Kripal Singh debuted for India against New Zealand and smacked 100 not out on 19 November 1955. 4.
