Galle (Sri Lanka), Mar 12: Mushfiqur Rahim on Monday become the first Bangladesh cricketer to score a double century in Test matches. Bangladesh had lost all the 12 Tests that it played in Sri Lanka so far, and this time it's heading for a draw - a first.
Said the 24-year-old cricketer after making his landmark double ton: "I am feeling great. It was one of my dreams to score a Test hundred. I thought that if I got the chance to bat long and if I got a partner at the other end, I would like to score a big hundred."
"Fortunately Ashraful batted well and also Nasir. So I had partners. We really needed it badly, because they scored huge and we needed to avoid the follow-on. That was our first target. Our second target was to make sure we cross their total, so we did that. Really happy with that batting performance. Tomorrow hopefully we will continue with the ball, so we'll see how it goes," he added.
