PAK vs SL, Asia Cup Final, Highlights: Sri Lanka win Asia Cup 2022, Beat PAK by 23 runs
Well, with everything going back home, Sri Lanka have won the Asia Cup 2022. What a journey it has been for Sri Lanka. They were supposed to host the tournament back home, but crises forced a change in the venue. They have now presented fans back home with a perfect gift - The Asia Cup title.
Pakistan Innings
- PAK 116/7: Well, well, well Hasaranga has changed the game. Pakistan are 7 down and there's no chance they are going to make it today.
- PAK 111/6: Rizwan has gotten out after scoring his fifty. Asif Ali too, is back in the hut. SL in absolute control.
- PAK 102/4 in 15.2 overs: Pakistan are losing the plot here. Sri Lanka on top for now. Rizwan needs to pick himself up here. He has eaten 46 balls here and now Pakistan need runs. Will he deliver?
- The equation for Pakistan is simple. 97 balls | 54 runs. With 8 wickets in hand, Pakistan are favourite from here on. Sri Lanka need wickets and they need them fast.
- PAK 53/2: Pakistan marching ahead. The run rate has climbed up and they need 118 runs in 72 balls. With Rizwan still at the crease and a couple of big-hitters still to come, Pakistan would fancy their chances.
- PAK 35/2: At the 4.3 over mark, Ahmed nicked one to the keeper, but survived as SL did not opt for a review.
- PAK 22/2: And just like that, Pakistan are 2 down. Great bowling, oridinary batting. Babar and Fakhar are gone and Sri Lanka are cock-a-hoop. Great effort from Madushan.
- PAK 20/0: After a horror start from Sri Lanka, the bowlers have done well not to let the game slip away.
Sri Lankan Innings
- SL 170/6: The Lankan batters inspired a great come back and they now have a fighting total. Rajapaksa may have just played an innings of a lifetime. What class! Pakistan need 171 to win Asia Cup.
- SL 116/6 - Rauf dismisses Hasaranga. Team Sri Lanka looks in trouble.
- SL 47/3: 7 overs are up and Sri Lanka wouldn't be too happy with the way things stand. But with de SILVA and Rajapaksha at the crease, they would hope to turn up the heat in a while.
- SL 36/3: What a delivery. 151 kmph, pitching around off and just swings in. Gunathilaka had no clue what hit him. WOW!
- SL 23/2: Nissanka holed it out to mid-off and Sri Lanka are two down. They need to be careful here. Can't lose any more wickets in the Powerplay now. Although they bat deep, they would at least need 180-190 to challenge the Pakistani batters.
- SL 4/1: Naseem Shah's corker absolutely baffled Mendis and his off-stump went for a long walk. What a way to start off the final.
