    IND beat BAN, consolidate spot in semis

    The Indian women's team defeated the BAN side in their fifth match of the tournament. India was too good for the defending champions. The openers played some blistering knocks, the bowlers didn't let BAN play their strokes and wickets too came their way. With this win, India have consolidated a spot in the final four. A good comeback from the women in blue after a loss against Pakistan. They will now play their final match of the group stage on October 10 against Thailand women.     BAN in trouble, lose third wicket

    The Bangladesh team is in big trouble. They have lost their third wicket and the runs are also not coming for them. Both the openers played slowly but when they wanted to step on the pedal, they were sent back by the Indians. IND-W looks all set to belt this contest.

    India women's team finish on 159 runs in 20 overs. It was a brilliant knock by Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma as India got a blistering start. It was all good for India until Bangladesh women struck some blows to pull things back. Mandhana missed her fifty while Verma notched a half-ton. In the end, Jemimah Rodrigues provided India with a fine finish. India should back themselves to defend this one.
