England are in all sort of trouble now. They are eaight down already. Stuart Broad gave himself every chance of scoring runs. He smashed Johnson for a boundary followed by a six to third man. Broad survived a stumping chance off Maxwell but on the very next ball he went for a skier and Pat Cummins took the catch at deep midwicket.

Maxwell's double strike has dented England innings further. They are now set to lose the match with a comprehensive margin. After a brilliant 95 while batting, Maxwell strikes two wickets of the dangerman Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes who has been struggling both with bat and ball.
Stuart Broad comes to the crease at no. 9
England 98/7
Chris Woakes c & b Maxwell 0 (1)
OUT! Another wicket. Woakes goes first ball now. It was floated up on off, Woakes drives uppishly back towards the bowler and Maxwell takes one of the easiest catches off his own bowling. Now Maxwell is on hat-trick.
Chris Woakes comes in at no. 8
England 98/6
Jos Buttler c (sub) Cummins b Maxwell 17 (22)
OUT! Maxwell strikes and the dangerman Buttler is gone! It was floated up just outside off, Buttler employs the reverse sweep and hits it uppishly, substitute Cummins dives forward at short third man and takes a smart catch. It's time for the English bowlers to come out and bat now. Umpire checks for no-ball but it's fine.
England 77/5 after 20 overs (202 runs to win)
Bopara 6 (22), Buttler 5 (3)
It's all Australia so far. England have once again suffered at the hands of Johnson. Root was looking solid but ends up missing a yorker by Faulkner which hits straight onto his pads. Jos Buttler arrives at the crease and started with a boundary off another yorker by Faulkner.
Jos Buttler is the next man in
England 71/5
Joe Root lbw b Faulkner 25 (37)
OUT! Loud appeal for lbw and it's gone. Faulkner strikes with his first ball. It was a cracker delivery from him. Full, straight and yorker, Root misses that struck on pads right in front of the stumps. This is also his 50th ODI wicket.
England 61/4 after 15 overs
Root 19 (23), Bopara 1 (9)
England's good start has been spoiled by Johnson's two wickets. Moeen Ali was looking good but became a victim of Johnson's short delivery and later Eoin Morgan follows him back on the very next ball after he misjudged the ball to leave which crashes his stumps. Johnson was denied a hat-trick when Bopara left the ball outside off and let it go to the keeper.
Ravi Bopara is the next man in
England 46/4
Eoin Morgan b Johnson 0 (1)
OUT! Wicket no. 3 for Johnson. It was pitched up on the off stump. He attempted to bring his bat down but misjudged the ball and makes a late decision to let it go. The ball crashes onto the stumps. Johnson is on hattrick and England in trouble.
Eoin Morgan came in at no. 5
England 46/36
Moeen Ali c Finch b Johnson 26 (30)
OUT! Bouncer by Johnson. Moeen Ali tried to play a rising delivery pitched on the line on off stump but edged to Finch for a simple catch.
England 46/2 after 10 overs
Ali 26 (27), Root 6 (6)
Moeen Ali has been fighting alone from one end with five boundaries already but falling short of partners from other. After Bell, the hero of last match against India, James Taylor went cheaply for the score of 4 after Maxwell took an excellent catch at backward point. Moeen has to play a gem of an innings here to take England home and Joe Root also have a great role to play.
Joe Root is the next man in
England 35/2
James Taylor c Maxwell b Johnson 4 (18)
OUT! James Taylor is out. That's an excellent catch from Maxwell at backward point! This was full and angled across the right-hander, Taylor went for the drive, doesn't get hold of the shot and ends up slicing it to the left of Maxwell. Umpires want to check for no-ball and its close but third umpire reckons that Johnson had something behind the popping crease.
England 26/1 after 5 overs
Ali 16 (18), Taylor 0 (3)
Ian Bell started with two back to back boundaries of Starc in the first over but struggled to stay for long. He didn't have any answer to Hazlewood's cracker and got a light nick outside off to the keeper. Moeen Ali at other end also scored couple of boundaries and the new man in James Taylor has to repeat the feat which he did against India in last ODI.
James Taylor is in at no. 3
England 18/1
Ian Bell c Haddin b Hazlewood 8 (9)
OUT! Hazlewood strikes and the big man Ian Bell is out. It was full pitched outside off. Bell tries to defend and the ball takes an outside edge to the keeper who just manages to take the catch.
Moeen Ali takes the strike and Mitchell Starc to start off for Australia.
Moeen Ali and Ian Bell are the two England openers out in the middle.
England are about to begin their chase. The openers had to give a good start to avoid the pressure on the batsmen coming down the order.
-----------------------------------
It won't be easy task to chase down the target of 279 against Johnson, Starc and Co.
Maxwell once again missed out on a hundred and a moment of madness from Haddin ran Marsh out. England were right back in it and harboured hopes of restricting Australia to around 255-260. But Faulkner showed why he is such a feared hitter as he finished off the innings with a brilliant late hitting show.
Faulkner cameo of unbeaten 50 off just 24 deliveries was well decorated with 4 sixes and as many as number of fours.
Australia were 4 for 60, they end on 8 for 278. Smith was in serious touch again before he walked past one from Moeen. Maxwell looked as good, and made more than twice. Marsh looked good for many more before he was run out, and Faulkner's late blitz might well prove to be the difference once the second innings is done . Australia recovering twice there, they were 7 for 224 as well.
England need 279 runs to win
Australia 278/8 after 50 overs
Faulkner 50 (24), Starc 0 (0)
A late blitz from James Faulkner took Australia to 278/8, the total which was far from their reach when Australia were struggling with a short batting collapse. It might prove to be the difference once the second innings is done. Faulkner finished the innings with a massive six off Finn to the square leg and gets his half century in style as well.
Mitchell Starc is in at no. 10
Australia 269/8
Mitchell Johnson c Morgan b Finn 3 (10)
OUT! Finn finally gets his man. Johnson goes high in the air and the skipper Eoin Morgan takes an easy catch at covers.
Mitchell Johnson comes to crease at no. 9
Australia 224/7 after 45 overs
Faulkner 2 (4)
Australia lost their both well settled batsmen Maxwell and Marsh at the wrong time. Maxwell threw it away attemping a mistime pull shot while Marsh trying to take a risky run got run out. Brad Haddin followed him soon back to pavilion. Australia seem to be losing it at the end where they need to accelerate.
Australia 224/7
Brad Haddin c Taylor b Broad 9 (12)
OUT! wicket for Broad! Slower ball with extra bounce. Haddin tries to whack it to the leg side but the ball finds James Taylor at mid wicket who takes a simple catch.
James Faulkner is in at no. 8
Australia 217/6
Mitchell Marsh run out (Anderson/Buttler) 60 (68)
OUT! Another big wicket for England. Haddin hits it to third man and the batsmen went for the second run. Anderson was the fielder, who threw the ball to Haddin who further took aim and found Marsh short of the crease at non strikers end with a direct hit. It was a risky second and Marsh was very slow in going back. Absolutely a needless attempt by the batsmen.
Brad Haddin is the next man in
Australia 201/5
Glenn Maxwell c Buttler b Broad 95 (98)
OUT! Maxwell is a goner! He has given away his 100. He tries to pull a short ball but it takes a top edge and went high in the air. Buttler takes the catch running towards backward short leg.
Australia 192/4 after 40 overs
Maxwell 95 (97), Marsh 39 (55)
Australia scored 46 runs in the 5 overs of the powerplay. Maxwell is on highest inidividual ODI score of 95 is inching towards his first ODI century and the partnership too is above 100 runs. Australia look good for the total of 280 from here with Maxwell showing his class. He has played reverse sweep, reverse slog and whatever you name.
Time for the batting power play
DRINKS BREAK
Australia 146/4 after 35 overs
Maxwell 64 (82), Marsh 26 (40)
Australia made a good comeback after an early wobble that left the host struggling at 59/4. Maxwell has been the aggressor while Marsh has supported him well. These two have put on a 86-run stand to bring their side back into it after four quick wickets had gone down. England need to break this stand as Maxwell can be very dangerous in the powerplay. Another 80-100 runs and Australia can give a tough fight to England. Marsh and Maxwell are really doing well.
Australia 120/4 after 30 overs
Maxwell 53 (66), Marsh 12 (26)
The partnership between Maxwell and Marsh has crossed the 50-run mark and the duo is going strong. Maxwell gets his 8th ODI half century and 1000 ODI runs as well with a cheeky bounary to third man. Australia must be eying at least 280 from here.
Australia 103/4 after 25 overs
Maxwell 39 (46), Marsh 9 (16)
At the halfway stage Australia have managed to take their total to 103. Maxwell has started dealing in boundaries. He looks settled now and playing some good shots. If he hangs around for a bit, Australia can easily post a competitive total.
Australia 72/4 after 20 overs
Maxwell 15 (28), Marsh 2 (4)
Moeen Ali's dismissal of the man-in-form Steven Smith has left Australia in tatters. Smith was very lazy after getting beaten, he seemed to give up way too easily. Even as he tried to get back it was too late. They are in all kind of trouble now and the new batsman Marsh with Maxwell at other end need to setup a good partnership here.
Mitchell Marsh comes in at no. 6
Australia 60/4
Steven Smith st Buttler b Ali 40 (50)
OUT! Big wicket for England. Steven Smith is stumped! Moeen Ali has done it once more. It straightened past the attempted whip of Smith, who was down the pitch. He missed the shot and Buttler after fumbling first time, recovered well to effect the stumping. Smith could've dived back and also had time but he didn't.
Australia 55/3 after 15 overs
Smith 38 (43), Maxwell 2 (9)
England have started brilliantly to have Australia three down in first 15 overs. Anderson set the tone with the wickets of the openers and then Broad and Finn have come in, to continue the good work. Bailey struggled and after getting off the mark, off his 16th delivery, got out to the next one. It's once again up to Smith to take his side to a defendable total. He is batting superbly, but this will be a real test for him and for the rest of his mates as England are giving nothing away.
Glenn Maxwell is in at no. 5
Australia 46/3
George Bailey cTaylor b Broad 2 (17)
OUT! Third down for Australia. Short ball from Stuart Broad at the right time which left Bailey surprised after he fended out awkwardly and popped a simple catch to short leg. Australia are in trouble now.
Australia 42/2 after 10 overs
Smith 30 (27), Bailey 0 (12)
James Anderson is on fire right from the start. After Finch, another Aussie opener David Warner was sent back to pavilion, thanks to movement he is getting in his deliveries. George Bailey at other end is taking his time to get settle while Smith is making England bowlers struggle.
George Bailey walks in at no. 4
Australia 33/2
David Warner c Taylor b Anderson 12 (18)
OUT! Both the Aussie openers are out now. Pace and extra bounce for Anderson once again. It was a short of length delivery outside off, Warner is pushed back in the crease and looks to fend it into the off-side, the ball hits high on the bat and a simple catch to the man at backward point.
Australia 25/1 after 5 overs
Warner 12 (17), Smith 13 (10)
Warner and Smith are looking after an early strike in the third delivery of the day which saw Finch walking off. Anderson has so far made the good use of pace, he is getting swing and movement from the pitch. Steven Smith is playing some unusual shots. He is shuffling across the stumps and exposing his stumps but managed to score quick runs.
Steven Smith comes in at no. 3
Australia 0/1
Aaron Finch c Root b Anderson 0 (3)
OUT! Anderson strikes on third ball. Good movement here. A short of length delivery outside the off stump and Finch gets a nick away from his body to Joe Root at slips.
James Anderson will open the attack for England and Finch has the strike. Two slips in place

England Cricket have tweeted: Overcast morning in Perth & hopefully we see no further rain! The boys getting ready for #triseries final #AusvEng
For England, this series has been a realization of sorts. The new year brought them a new captain, under whose leadership they have begun to get back on track. Against India, they put up a brilliant bowling display, trouncing the sub-continent team with ease. Steve Finn, James Anderson and Chris Woakes form an intimidating attack, their only worry being Stuart Broad's lack of form. Moeen Ali has provided them with breakthroughs at crucial junctures. On the other hand, their batting looks solid and composed. James Taylor has proved himself with mature knocks and performed admirably so far. Bell, Morgan, Buttler, all have chipped in with valuable runs and backed their bowlers.
Steve Smith and David Warner have been ruthless with the bat. Shane Watson, who is nursing a slight hamstring niggle, will continue to sit out. For the hosts, it is just a matter of settling on a perfect combination.
Having accumulated 15 points from four matches, the George Baily-led Australia undoubtedly start as overwhelming favourites.
Australia have not put a foot wrong so far. They are the only team to have remained unbeaten in the tournament and delivered consistently. The icing on the cake today would be Mitchell Johnson's return to the side, his first game of the series. The bouncy WACA wicket will play the perfect host to re-launch a fit and thoroughly rested Johnson, something the English would be undeniably wary of.
England have defeated Australia in five games out of seven in Perth, a stat, the visitors will take confidence from.
