Know the lowest totals teams scored in T20 internationals

New Delhi: Netherlands made the dubious record of scoring the lowest runs in a T20 international match in World T20 earlier this year. Although T20 is known for batsmen scoring quick runs but their had been times when the teams get bundled out cheaply .Most of the scores were made by the associate nations who were playing in major ICC tournament for the first time . Lets take a look on the top ten lowest scores made in a T20 game and who were on the receiving end. 39 in 10.3 overs (Netherlands) : Netherlands vs Sri Lanka at Chittagong. It was Nuwan Kulasekara who started the proceedings of dismissing the batsmen of Netherlands. After the previous display by the Netherlands batsman against Ireland , it was expected that they will present a stong reply to the lankans but they were just blown away by the Lankan bowlers.The Netherlands then lost the their last six wickets for just 14 runs. Sri Lanka achieved the target in five overs by just losing wicket. It was also the a record that a game was won with maximum number of bowls remaining. 56 in 18.4 overs(Kenya) : Kenya vs Afghanistan at Sharjah . The Afghan team which had decided to bat first in the match had posted a total of 162 for six which was pretty much competitive score.The Kenyan batsmen had no idea what they were going to get. A impressive spell from H Hasan has derailed the Kenya innings totally They lost their first three wickets for just three runs.Afghanistan's Hamid Hasan had taken three wickets by giving only four runs.67 in 17.2 overs (Kenya): It was again the African nation which was on the receiving end and this time and the country which trounced them were the newbie of the game Ireland.It was in 2008 in Belfast that the Irish bowlers bowled as aunit and did not give the Kenyan batsmen any chance for building the innings.But the Irish batsman also made the paltry total look difficult as the managed to get pass the total only in the 20th over and that too after losing six wickets. 68 in 16.4 overs (Ireland) : The Irish team which had tasted success and given Kenya their lowest T20 score were on the receiving end this time. They were compelled to dance to the tune of the carribean chin music when they were bowled out for a mere 68 runs. The Carribean batting first were able to put on a score of 138 runs which many thought were below par but the Carribean who were led by Sammy and Ravi rampaul took three wickets each and did not give the Irish batsmen a platform to build upon. 69 in 17 overs ( Hongkong): Hong Kong vs Nepal at Chittagong 2014.The latest entrant in the world of cricket had an eventful outing as they bundled out another associate nation of ICC that is Hongkong for a small score of 69 runs.Nepal chose to bat first and put a score of 149 runs. The Nepalese bowling were at its fiery best when it dislodged the batting line up of the Hongkong . The bowling trio of Shakti Gauchan, Basant Regmi and Sompal kami did not gave the opposition batsman any chance to settle down.
