During her training period she met Dhoni at the same hotel where India was playing Pakistan at the Eden Gardens and the team was staying at the Taj.
It was a common friend through whom the couple met. The man behind this liasion was none other than Dhoni's manager Yudhajit Dutta. It was he who had called Sakshi and another common friend to meet up with Dhoni.
Sakshi Rawat was a simple girl from Dehradun while Mahendra Singh Dhoni was then India's most eligible bachelor.
Dhoni took Sakshi's number from Dutta and texted her first. Sakshi was not ready to believe that it was Dhoni who was actually messaging her, but later she believed and after a lot of wooing and persuasion from Dhoni's side, the couple started dating in March 2008.
Sakshi is truly MSD's lucky charm. She has been there for him always as a pillar of strength. Sakshi Dhoni and MS Dhoni both tied the knot on 4 July 2010.
