Chennai, Apr 6: Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by nine runs on Saturday night, as CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's 51 runs went in vain.
After intial losses, Mumbai Indians recovered to make 148 for six, while Chennai Super Kings made 139/9 in the allotted 20 overs.
Munaf Patel took three wickets for the loss of 29 runs, while Harbhajan and Pragyan Ojha took two wickets each.
Mike Hussey made 20 runs but was clean bowled by Harbhajan.
West Indies player Kieron Pollard hammered 57 not out off 38 balls, while Dinesh Karthik made 37 runs. At one state Mumbai were collapsing at 83 for six, Sachin Tendulkar was out for a duck leg before to Nannes.
