Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Gautam Gambhir is set to join his team in Pune for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) fixture against Kings XI Punjab on Saturday after being down with fever and a stomach bug for several days.
"Ah, recovering well. Thanks for ur wishes they mean a world to me. Will be off to Pune from Kolkata to join my mates @KKRiders God bless," Gambhir wrote on social networking site Twitter on Thursday.
A day earlier the KKR skipper had tweeted that he could not travel with the team as he had suddenly fallen ill and that he was living on a diet of curd-rice.
"Not travelling to Pune with @KKRiders today. Cramps, weakness and fever. Bad timing. Living on khichdee and curd-rice," Gambhir had tweeted.
The southpaw has been in hot form in the (IPL) with two back-to-back fifties so far. KKR are the defending champions of the tournament. They are currently third on the points table with two points from three matches.
