New Delhi: The seventh edition of IPL has concluded and the team from Kolkata has became the latest champions of the most extravagant cricket league. Gautam Gambhir led Kolkata Knight Riders to its second IPL victory thus becoming only the second team after Chennai Super Kings to win the trophy twice . Lets take a look on the most successful players of the tournament to make a dream team of IPL. Dwayne Smith (CSK) : The Caribbean hard hitter who was brought by the Chennai franchise proved to be a fruitful buy for the team as he along with Kiwi batsman Brendon Mc Cullum formed on of the most dangerous opening pair of the IPL 7. Smith has scored a total of 566 runs from the 16 matches that he has played at a strike rate of 136.05. He has hit a total of 34 maximums which goes on to show s his hard hitting ability. Robin Uthappa (KKR): The right handed batsman who was another fresh player brought in the auction by the Kolkata Knight Riders management now looks like the buy of the season. The player seemed to be in form of his life after he scored 660 runs in the whole tournament and become the proud owner of the Orange cap. Uthappa had a strike rate of 137.78 and he has hit a total of 74 boundaries and 18 maximums which was required by the team at the top.Suresh Raina (CSK): Many players have performed well at this position but ultimately it will be Suresh Raina of Chennai Super Kings who has been the most consistent performer for his team. He has done it again for his side at the seventh edition of IPL. His strike rate was 134.42.Mahendra Singh Dhoni (CSK): MSD cant be left out from any dtream team because of his capability of finishing the matches and his cool temperament while captaining his side. Many would argue that Gambhir should be the skipper after he led KKR to second time to be the champions in three years. MSD has made 371 runs from 16 matches with an average of 74.20 and strike rate of 148.40. Akshar Patel (KXIP): He was an unknown entity when the season started. By the end of the tournament, he has become a household name and also finds him in the Indian team for the ODI tour of Bangladesh next month. Sandeep Sharma (KXIP): Another Indian youngster who made an impact on this edition of IPL. Sandeep sharma took 18 wickets from just eleven matches that he has played.
