The Orange Cap in the Indian Premier League is given to the highest run-scorer at the end of a season.
Ruturaj Gaikwad went past Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul to win the Orange Cap for the 2021 Indian Premier League. The young opener finished with 636 runs in 16 matches, becoming the youngest to win the Orange Cap in IPL history.
Faf du Plessis also went past Rahul during his half-century knock to go second in the list.
Gaikwad had breached the 600-run mark in the season after a brilliant 50-ball 70 runs in Qualifier 1 against DC.
