Islamabad: Fast bowler Junaid Khan is doubtful for the Cricket World Cup after he was ruled out of the short tour to New Zealand due to a hamstring injury.
The Pakistan Cricket Board says fast bowler Bilawal Bhatti will replace Khan for the two warmup one-day internationals against New Zealand, and will also play in the two practice matches in New Zealand.
Khan injured his hamstring during the training camp at Lahore last week, and the PCB says "if Khan regains fitness, he will join the World Cup squad."
PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan approved Bhatti's inclusion on the condition that the right-arm fast bowler will play all the four matches in New Zealand.
The team leaves for New Zealand later Tuesday.
