New Delhi, Jun 24: Irfan Pathan has been ruled out of the tri-series in the West Indies, due to a hamstring injury.
The All India Senior Selection Committee has picked Mohammed Shami as his replacement in the Indian team, Sanjay Patel, BCCI secretary announced.
Team India begins its West Indies tour from June 28 and will be playing a tri-series involving India, Sri Lanka and West Indies.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Captain) Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Murali Vijay, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohd Shami, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra, Vinay Kumar
There is no place for Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Virendra Sehwag and Zaheer Khan in the team.
Sehwag's last ODI was against Pakistan earlier this year, but was dropped because of poor form.
Yuvraj played the series against England that came after facing Pakistan and was dropped for similar reasons. Zaheer Khan has been out with injury and has not played a game since August last year.
Gambhir has also been dropped as the selectors do not want to tamper with the starting pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma.
