IND vs SL 3rd ODI, Highlights: India beat Sri Lanka by 317 runs, clean sweep islanders by 3-0

India have registered a record win in the 3rd ODI as they have defeated them by 317 runs. This defeat shall not go down well for Sri Lanka as this was no competition. India dominated in both departments and displayed some class. It was a match to remember for Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj. While Kohli and Gill starred with the bat as they hit respective tons, Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 4 wickets. We will now move on to face New Zealand in a multi-format series, starting from ODIs on 18th January. Hope India will continue their show and find the best combination for the World Cup to come. Sri Lanka are staring a big defeat. Siraj looking for 5-wicket haul.

Kuldeep Yadav has bowled a magical ball and has cleaned Shanaka up. This was probably pitched on the 5th stump and turned back sharply to clean the leg stumps.

This was a bizarre way to get out. Karunaratne defends the ball and sends it straight to bowler Siraj. SL batter held his pose for the defence and Siraj picked up the ball to catch Karunaratne short off the crease. 

Mohammed Siraj has landed this inswinging ball onto the wickets of Wanindu Hasaranga. This was an off-cutter which nipped back in the right-hander to beat him and disturb the stumps. Siraj gets his 4th, SL 5 down.

Mohammed Siraj is on fire as he has taken his 3rd wicket inside the powerplay. He has cleaned bowled Nuwanidu and Sri Lanka are in big trouble.

Now Mohammed Shami has joined the party with Siraj. He has sent back Asalanka and Sri Lanka are losing way more wickets. SL 3 down.

India are off to a great start in the second innings. Siraj has scalped two wickets and has given India a great start

India have put in a giant score in Trivandrum. It's 390 runs on the board and the Indian team shall be proud of this effort. Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill were superb in the outing. Kohli smashed his 46th ODI hundred, while youngster Gill brought up his 2nd ODI ton. Looks like enough runs on board to inflict a whitewash but Sri Lanka have capabilities. He will raise his bat for another time in the match. Kohli has converted his ton into a biggie as he has hit 150. 

Suryakumar Yadav has been deceived by this slower ball off Rajitha. He wanted to clear the boundary on covers but the fielder in deep holds on the catch. India 5 down in their attempt to get quick runs. Axar comes in.

KL Rahul walks back in his attempt to score quick runs. He has hit this straight to deep mid wicket. Meanwhile, Suryakumar walks in to bat now.

Shreyas Iyer will have to walk back after a quick outing. He is caught at covers as he could not time the ball. Interestingly, Suryakumar has not been sent. Rahul walks in to bat.

Kohli is on song after smashing 46th ODI ton. He has Karunaratne for 18 runs in 45th over. How many can India get?

And Virat Kohli has hit another ODI ton against Sri Lanka. This is his 46th ODI hundred. Gosh, he is rolling back the best of his years is Virat. 3 away from Sachin's giant 49 ODI tons feat now. Meanwhile, India look to finish well here in Trivandrum.

Virat Kohli's four has led the fielders on leg side boundary clash in their attempt to stop the ball. Vandersay and Ashen Bandara have collided and are taken off the field.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is closing in on yet another hundred. He is continuing his form. 

Shubman Gill goes back to hut after his brilliant innings of 116 off 97 deliveries. Kasun Rajitha traps Gill in his spell to break the partnership between Virat Kohli and Gill. 

It's been a great time for Indian batters. Shubman Gill has smashed his second ODI hundred, while Kohli has reached his 65th ODI half-ton. Superb from India.

The Indian players are going very well in Trivandrum. Gill is closing on his 2nd ODI hundred, while Kohli is also set for a fifty.

There was a loud shout of LBW for Shubman Gill off Hasaranga's delivery. Sri Lanka reviewed after the umpire gave it not out. And there was some glove on the way to the pads. Gill survives a rare appeal.

India keeping up with the flow of runs as another fifty-plus partnership has been put on the board. Gill and Kohli are leading India's charge well. Both are looking good and the pitch is not helping even spinners at the moment.

It's another fifty for Indian opener Shubman Gill. This pitch is looking great for batting and he is taking everything out of it. 6th ODI fifty for Gill and the second in the series. Virat is also looking good. 

India's captain Rohit Sharma has been caught on his customary pull here. He will be so disappointed with what he has done. This was a length ball as Rohit pulled this to the deep backward square leg fielder to perfection. The fielder did not have to move an inch as Karunaratne gets 1st wicket for SL. Virat Kohli has joined Gill and he is showing his class with classy fours.

Both Gill and Rohit are looking strong and confident at the moment. They are closing in on their fifties for another time in the series. IND on top.
