Fatullah (Bangladesh): Rain delayed the start of the second day's play of the lone Test between India and Bangladesh at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium here on Thursday.
Play was supposed to start half an hour earlier than the scheduled time as showers washed away 34 overs of play on Wednesday and only 56 overs were bowled in which India scored 239 runs without losing a single wicket.
Openers Sikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay are unbeaten on 150 and 89 respectively.
The Bangladeshi bowlers were hapless as none of them succeeded in taking wickets. To add salt to their wounds, the fielders did not back them as they dropped a couple of sitters. Pacers or tweakers, Dhawan and Vijay hammered the bowlers all over the ground.
Yesterday, captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first.
