IND vs AUS 4th Test Live Score: India lose Kohli, Jaiswal in quick succession, Australia on top again

Another wicket goes down and India are down and out!! Virat Kohli is OUT. He fiddled with the delivery outside the off-stump and Australia are dominating the Test match now!! 154/4. Just 5 minutes ago, everything was going fine for India. 100 partnership was up for the third wicket. A moment of madness from Jaiswal and then Kohli, deterred from the run-out incident, fiddled with a harmless delivery and clearly, Australia are bossing this game.

What has happened there? Yashasvi Jaiswal, what have you done? It was always going to be a risky single! At this stage of the match and the day, Jaiswal is run out and India have copped a massive blow. Just when the response from the visitors was looking extremely strong, He made 82 runs and India are three down!!

This has been a dogged effort from Yashasvi Jaiswal. Yes, the pitch hasn't done a lot but Jaiswal needed to dig in and has made a brilliant fifty and would be keen to convert it into a big one.

Steve Smith has finally been removed for 140 by Akash Deep as India picked up both the set batters quickly in succession but Australia with more than 450 runs on the board have a firm grip over the match.

Ravindra Jadeja has gone past Mitchell Starc's edge and has cleaned him up as Australia lose their eighth wicket. Jadeja gets his third.

Australia have gone past the 450 mark and now are really calling the shots in the ongoing MCG Test match. Steve Smith is past his century and looks very good as India still chase those three wickets at lunch on Day 2.

Australian captain Pat Cummins has thrown it away as Ravindra Jadeja has struck. Cummins, batting on 49, wanted to get to his fifty with a big hit and Nitish Reddy running from long-off has done well to cover the distance and be able to grab the ball.

Steve Smith has genuinely found his hands as he has smashed a century in back-to-back Tests, first in Brisbane and now at the MCG. This one was more Smith-esque, chanceless, in control and he has the Indian bowlers in his grasp, he knows it. Meanwhile, Australia have also crossed 400 and are absolutely crushing it.

Not much an update as India have gone wicketless for the first hour. Smith and Cummins have brought up a half-century stand. India need to find ways to get wickets, quickly.

India have gone searching for wickets in the first half an hour but it's been all Australia so far. There have been oohs and aahs but nothing has threatened to make the batters think. India need to break this partnership quickly.

The Indian players were visible sporting black armbands as they paid tribute to the former India Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, who breathed his last at AIIMS in Delhi on Thursday, December 26. Singh died at the age of 92 after battling a long illness.

Melbourne has been overcast overnight and a bit windy to start off on Friday. However, the sun is coming out now and we should be starting on time. The pitch will remain good for bowling once again but it will get better for batting. Hence, with the newish ball, India would aim to fold Australia below 370-380.
