Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar missed a much awaited century by 26 runs on his last test here as India wentt to lunch at 282/3 on day two of second and the last test of the series against West Indies at Wankhede stadium. India lead by 100 runs.





Resuming the day at 157/2, Sachin and Pujara looked very comfortable against Caribbean bowlers. Sachin who was on 38,  reached 50, his 68th half century, with a boundary off Best. The way he was playing it looked he was determined to sign off with a century but caught off Deonarine at slip by Sammy.

Sachin faced 118 for his 74 runs with twelve fours. As expected he got a standing ovation from a packed house.

The little master added 144 runs for the third wicket with Pujara.

At lunch Pujara was playing on 86 off 126 balls with 10 hits to the boundary. Giving him company after Sachin's departure, was Virat who was on 36 off 34 balls with four boundaries.

West Indies were bowled out for 182 yesterday inside tea and Ojha was the most successful bowler, taking five wickets for 40 in 11.2 overs.
