In an extended morning session West Indies once again collapsed adding just 144 to overnight score of 43/3. Like first test in Kolkata this test too ended inside three days.

Man of the Pragyan Ojha took ten wickets in this test. Ashwin took four wickets in second inning.

Rohit Sharma was declared Man of the series for his two consecutive centuries.

For West Indies Ramdin was the top scorere making unbeaten 53 off 68 balls with eight fours and one six. Chanderpaul made 41 off 62 balls followed by Gayle who scored 35.

West Indies resumed day 3 at 43/3 but could add another 31 when Samuels was stumped off Ojha. He made just 11 runs. After 13 runs Gayle, who was off colour through out the series, became second victim of Ojha after Sameuls. He edged a ball to Dhoni behind the wicket. Gayle could add just 29 runs to his overnight score.

Next to go was Deonarine who was caught and bowled by Ojha without scoring. With scoreboard reading 89/6, it was just a matter of time when India wrapped up the one sided game.

Sachin was brought on to bowl but he could not take wicket in his two over spell. He had taken a wicket in Kolkata test.
