IND-W vs WI-W 1st T20I Live score: India win opening game by 49 runs, take 1-0 lead in series

India have won this one now. They have clinched the game by 49 runs. A strong performance by the Indian team

Jemimah dropped her, Smriti dropped her but Radha Yadav has taken it. She gets Dottin caught straight down the ground and India can breathe now. 

Deandra Dottin holds the key for West Indies here. She has the power to change the game. Windies currently need 99 from 48 balls.

Titas Sadhu strikes again. She gets the dangerous-looking Qiana Joseph for 49.

Deepti Sharma cleans up Shemaine Campbelle right after the powerplay. Campbelle misses the pull and is bowled.

India have kept West Indies into check thus far in the innings. Titas Sadhu got the big scalp of captain Hayley Matthews in the second over.

India have finished very strong here. Jemimah was run-out in the final over but this has been a strong show by the Indian batters. Harmanpreet hits a four off the last ball and India finish on 195/4 in their 20 overs.

Jemimah gets to her fifty as well. She gets to her half-ton off 28 balls. She has looked so good with the bat, sweeping, reverse-sweeping and has middled the balls well.

Mandhana gets to her fifty in 30 balls. A good knock by her. And she departs three balls after it. She has hit this straight to covers and goes for a 33-ball 54.

Smriti Mandhana survives a close LBW call here. Matthews thought she had her player but the ball went umpire's call on hitting.

Jemimah has taken the Windies bowlers on. She is going at a strike rate close to 200. She is sweeping the balls very well. She just pulled Connell for a six over backward square leg.

Both Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues continue to add quick runs in the middle overs as West Indies bowlers struggle to find any momentum.

Karishma Ramharack was extremely mingy in the first over and now gets Uma Chetry in the next one. 

This is not a very good phase for the Indian team right now. They had got off to a strong start but now they have faced several dot balls.

Uma Chetry has started going strong. She has smacked four fours in the first three overs. India going well at 30/0 after 3.

We would have bowled first as well. We just want to play good cricket in this series. We did really well, especially in India. This is our first game in India after the T20 WC. Saima is making her debut.

West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews won the toss and has opted to bowl first. India have handed a debut to Saima Thakor, who impressed in the recent ODI series against Australia.

India and West Indies will be facing each other in the first T20I in Navi Mumbai. India are coming into this series on the back of a 0-3 ODI series loss to Australia. The Women in Blue will look to make amends in the T20I series now
