IND win by 104 runs; Match report
The Indian women's team has belted another contest to its name after a comprehensive victory over UAE. This is their third win and now they are on the top of the points table. A wonderful performance first by Deepti Sharma and Jemimah Rodrigues with the bat, and then the Indian bowling easily defended the target. Both Sharma and Rodrigues joined when India was in trouble, having lost three wickets inside the powerplay. But the duo stitched a partnership of 129 runs to help India post 178 in 20 overs. In the second innings, the Indian bowlers first scalped wickets and then dried up runs. In the end, it was a big win and boosted their net run rate hugely. India will next meet arch-rivals Pakistan on October 7 in their fourth match, which is likely to be a blockbuster. Till then this is Varun Malik signing off along with Jishu Bhattacharya. Take care.
