IND vs SL, Women's T20 World Cup 2024 Highlights: India win by 82 runs, knock Sri Lanka out; boost semis hopes

India achieved a massive net run rate-boosting win in their third Women's T20 World Cup clash as they knocked out Sri Lanka with a magnificent performance. India jumped up to No 2 position on the points table, however, they are required to beat the world champions Australia in their final match.

IND vs SL, Women's T20 World Cup 2024 Highlights: India win by 82 runs, knock Sri Lanka out; boost semis hopes

Team India made a short work of Sri Lanka in their third Women's T20 World Cup match in Dubai on Wednesday, October 9. Fifties from skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and her deputy Smriti Mandhana helped India get to a strong score of 172 and then some outstanding fielding and tight bowling meant that India achieved a huge 82-run win to move to the second place on the points table and enhance their chances of making it to the semi-finals.

    India win toss, opt to bat

    Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and elected to bat first. Harman reckoned that the team hasn't batted first yet in the tournament and will be keen to put runs on the board and put pressure on the opposition.
