IND vs NZ, 3rd Test Day 1 Live score: India on top after Washington's twin-strike, New Zealand 3 down

Will Young is going pretty well here. He is looking confident despite the threats posed by the Indian bowlers.

We are back in action for the second session. Sundar to resume 

India have sent New Zealand three down at the stroke of lunch. Washington has taken two, Akash has one and India would want to cash on the early advantage.

Washington has another. He now gets Rachin Ravindra. This pitch has started to turn well. India on top now.

Sundar gets a wicket too. He gets Latham clean bowled with a ball that drifted in first and then held its line to beat the outside edge.

It's time for the bit of a drink. The first hour has gone by with India getting Devon Conway. NZ are 43/1 after 12.

There is not much swing and seam on offer as we can see. Akash Deep and Siraj are carrying on from either ends. But we might see spin very soon.

Akash Deep strikes in his second over. He removes Conway LBW. The batter went for a review thinking it might bounce more. But there are three reds and he is gone.

Akash Deep is in from the other end. He is charging in from over the wicket and then round the wicket after 2 balls.

Rohit Sharma: We understand that we haven't played well in this series. Looks like a good pitch. Hopefully we can restrict them as quickly as possible. Our focus is on this Test match. Bumrah is not well, Siraj comes in for him.
