IND vs NZ 2nd Test Live Score: India aim for miracle in 2nd innings, New Zealand look to stretch lead

Mitchell Santner has picked up his seventh wicket and India are bundled out for just 156 runs. An extremely poor effort from the batters as New Zealand have gained 103-run lead.

Mitchell Santner continues to pick wickets. He has picked up six wickets now with Akash Deep being the latest. India are 142/9 now.

India go into Lunch on day two with just three wickets in hand. They are 107/7 and trail by 152 runs.

It was a decent start with Gill and Jaiswal looking to go aggressive but the former's defence was always being questioned by Santner. In the end, the spinner gets his man.

It has been a cautious start from Gill and Jaiswal. Gill survived an early DRS call closely and it took four overs for the first boundary to come. Jaiswal's sublime cover drive has taken India's score to 24/1.

Little bit gloomy this morning. The end we are standing on has been tough for the batters, all 10 wickets have come from this pavilion end. The pitch hasn’t changed too much. There will be turn to a large extent but what’s important is the speeds at which bowlers operate. There isn’t much moisture but what Indian batters needs to deal with is the natural variation off the pitch. Still tough conditions from a batting point of view, enough in it for the bowlers, say Dinesh Karthik and Simon Doull.

The second day's play is set to get underway in around 12-13 minutes now. There will be some crowd in Pune today with India batting and if Virat Kohli gets a start, expect more people to come in, in the post lunch session. 

India lost Rohit Sharma early in response to 259 from New Zealand. He was dismissed by Tim Southee for the record 14th time in international cricket. Is his form a concern for India ahead of the Border Gavaskar Trophy? Yes, he scored a half-century in the second innings in Bengaluru. But it is his second consecutive poor score in the first innings when you can dictate things. Australia tour is coming soon and Rohit will be keen to score big in the next Test in the first innings.

Washington Sundar and Ravi Ashwin picked up all 10 wickets on Day 1. This is the first time ever in India's history that all 10 wickets were picked by right-arm offspinners.
