IND vs NZ 2nd ODI | India continue their unbeaten run in the ODI series at home as they clinched their 7th series in India. New Zealand batters were outdone by some disciplined bowling in the first innings as they helped India win by 8 wickets.

IND vs NZ 2nd ODI | Led by bowlers, Rohit Sharma and co. thumped the New Zealand side in a one-way traffic at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur. The Indian team won by 8 wickets as they chased the 109-run target to clinch the ODI series 2-0 with a match to go. It was a mouthwatering performance by Mohammed Shami and co. and they destroyed the Kiwi batting line-up before Sharma smashed a fifty to help India close the deal in Raipur. With this India have continued their unbeaten run in the ODI series at home against New Zealand as they won their 7th ODI series at home against the Kiwi side.

The stadium witnessed its first-ever International match as the state of Chattisgarh Welcomed International Cricket. The Indian Team has sent some happy memories to the fans with this sort of performance. Sharma opted to bowl first after a funny moment at the toss time. Right from the word go, India were all over New Zealand in the first innings. Shami found the first wicket, Finn Allen, while Siraj sent back Nicholls soon. The Indian bowlers sent shockwaves to the New Zealand camp as some highly disciplined bowling was on display. Even though Glenn Phillips, Bracewell and Santner spent some time in the middle to bail Kiwis out of the hole, they were soon sent back by the Indians. New Zealand were bowled out for 108, which is their third-lowest against India in an ODI.

Coming out to bat, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave India a solid start. Sharma went on to smash his 48th ODI half-ton before departing in the 15th over when India were at 72. However, Gill continued his brilliant run and remained unbeaten on 40 along with Ishan Kishan to see India cross the victory line.

India continue unbeaten run in ODI series vs Kiwis at home

India are yet to lose an ODI series against New Zealand at home. The two cricket giants have faced each other six times before this series, where India have won on all occasions. This is their seventh ODI home series win against the Blackcaps. Rohit Sharma's men will now face Tom Latham's team in the final ODI of the series in Indore on 24th January. After this, a three-match T20I series will begin.
