New Delhi: The fifth edition of the ICC world T20 has concluded with Sri Lanka defeating India in the One sided match and thus becoming the new champions in the shortest format of the game. Here are the top scorers of the tournament which include the top 10 teams.Virat Kohli (319 runs): The man of the series award has been given to the right candidate. The right handed batsman from India has become synonymous with performance and continuity. He scored a total of four half centuries and has the highest number of half centuries in T20 format along with another Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh. Virat now has a total of eight 50s in T20.Virat scored a total of 319 runs from six matches. Rohit Sharma(200 runs) : Another Indian batsman makes it to the top of the table. Rohit Sharma has made two half centuries in the tournament with the highest being 62* aginst West Indies. JP Duminy (187 runs): The South African allrounder has played some crucial knocks to take his team to the semi- final of the tournament where it lost to India. Dumniy score card in the tournament is 39,86,12,5 and 45. Hashim Amla(185 runs): The South African opening batsman showed his class and went on to became on of the high scorers of the tournament.He highest score was 56 runs against England .He made these runs from the five matches that he had played. Alex Hales(166 runs): The English opener who had hit the tournament's first century is on the fifth on the number line.He made a briliiant 116 runs remaining not out against the tournament winner Sri Lanka. Aaron Finch (158 runs): The Australian team had an dismal tournament with most of their players not able to perform according to their reputation. But Aaron Finch was one such exception. The Australian opener had hit two half centuries in the four matches that the Australian team had played . His highest score was 71 against Bangladesh. Glenn Maxwell(147 runs): The Aussie allrounder tried to make the most of the opportunities that was available to him but he made 147 runs from the four matches that Maxwell had played. His highest score was 74 runs which he scored against Pakistan. Kane Williamson (146 runs):The New Zealander has played four matches , New Zealand (4). His highest score is against South Africa in which he had made 51 runs. Chris Gayle( 143 runs): The big Jamaican is on the lower half of the table proves that it was a tournament that he would like to forget. But in spite of that he made a total of 143 runs from five games.His highest score was 53 which he made against Australia. Ahmed Shehzad (138 runs) :The Pakistani opener batsman has the record of scoring a century in all the three formats of the game.
