Dubai, Jun 8: England wicketkeeper Matt Prior has been officially reprimanded by the ICC for breaking a window pane in his team's dressing room during the second test against Sri Lanka.
The International Cricket Council said Wednesday that Prior has accepted he was to blame for the broken window, which occurred Tuesday at Lord's soon after he was run out.
Penalties for the offense range from a reprimand to fining a player half his match fee.
Umpiring official Javagal Srinath says Prior's actions were accidental but breached an ICC rule referring to the "abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an international match."
The match was drawn. England leads 1-0 in the three-match series. AP
