Pakistan star opener Mohammad Rizwan has come closer to India star batter Suryakumar Yadav in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings announced on Wednesday. Rizwan played an unbeaten knock of 98 runs off 62 balls during the fifth and final match of the T20I series against New Zealand. Moreover, he ended the series as the highest run-scorer with 162 runs.
Suryakumar, however, is still leading the standings with 906 rating points. On the other hand, due to his impressive performance, Rizwan has been rewarded 13 rating points and his total has risen from 798 to 811 points. He is in second place with a difference of less than 100 rating points.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam lost 13 rating points after his underwhelming performance in the T20I series and currently has 756 points. However, he has maintained the third position. He is followed by Aiden Markram and Rilee Rossouw with 748 and 724 points, respectively. New Zealand player Mark Chapman made the biggest jump in the batters ranking. He climbed 45 spots to reach his career-best 35th after his match-winning hundred in that final game of the series against Pakistan.
In the bowlers ranking, Rashid Khan has retained his top position with 710 rating points. He is followed by his fellow Afghanistan player, Fazalhaq Farooqi with 692 points. Josh Hazlewood, Wanindu Hasaranga ad Maheesh Theekshana, Adil are at the third, fourth and fifth position with 690, 686,684 points, respectively.
The T20I all-rounders rankings list is led by Shakib Al Hasan with 269 rating points. India star cricketer Hardik Pandya is next to him with 250 points. Mohammad Nabi (230), Shadab Khan (184) and Wanindu Hasaranga (174) are at the third, fourth and fifth position.
When it comes to Indians, Virat Kohli is the next batter from the country in the T20I batting standings after Suryakumar. He has jumped one place to rank 14th with 612 rating points. On the other hand, Arshdeep Singh jumped a place with 635 points in the bowling rankings to by at number 13.
