Melbourne, Jun 17: Great Australian leg spinner Shane Warne has tweeted his delight at news the English county cricket side.
Hampshire will name a grandstand in his honor.
Warne, who played for the county over a period of eight years including a long period as captain, told his Twitter followers on Sunday of his pleasure at the recognition.
The newly-christened Shane Warne Grandstand was due to be unveiled at Hampshire's Rose Bowl ground before the first one-day international between England and the West Indies.
Warne tweeted “thanks to everyone at Hampshire. Loved my eight years. I feel very proud and honored to have a stand named after me along with C. Ingleby.
