Senior players Shahid Afridi and Younis Khan will receive the President's Pride of Performance Award tomorrow, almost a week after they were fined and banned by Pakistan Cricket board for indiscipline and misconduct.

Younis, a former captain will receive his award from the Governor of the North West Frontier Province while Afridi will collect his award from the Governor of Sindh on the Pakistan Day which falls on March 23.

"Both players were nominated few months back for this prestigious award as the Provincial Governor recommended names to the Presidency to get these awards," a government official said.

The awards are being given to the senior players at a time when they have been disciplined by the PCB.

Younis, who stepped down from the captaincy last year in the middle of the tour in Abu Dhabi, was banned for indefinite period, while Afridi has been fined Rs 3 million and put on six-month probation for his ball tampering act in Australia.

Afridi is also due to fly to Lahore tomorrow to take part in the Pakistan Day celebration matches being organised by the Board at the Gaddafi Stadium.
