DC vs RCB IPL 2025 Highlights: Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeat Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets

Tim David takes RCB home in the penultimate over. This does go to the final over and DC might feel they missed a trick of not giving Starc the second last over.

Ist there a twist in the tale? Kohli has been dismissed in the 18th over. Chameera gets Kohli caught at long on. Starc takes a good cool-headed catch at the fence. 

Abhishek has put Krunal down at deep mid-wicket. This should have been taken but he spills this out.

Krunal is playing a brilliant hand here. He gets to his fifty off just 38 balls on a pitch that has been tough to bat on.

Krunal has slammed back-to-back sixes. He is now taking the attack on the DC bowlers. A little bit of pressure on DC now. 70 needed from 42 balls.

DC have been keeping RCB in check here. Bengaluru are at 56/3 after 9 overs, but Virat Kohli is still out there and we know what the chase master can do.

Axar strikes twice in his second over. He removes Bethell caught at deep square and then Padikkal has chopped one on. RCB are two down now. In comes Patidar with Kohli. This game is on.

RCB's chase is on. No Phil Salt, so Bethell is opening with Virat Kohli today. Axar starts with the ball and it is Micthell Starc from the other end.

Delhi Capitals have ended at 162/8. This is their lowest total in this season when they have batted full 20 overs. But this is not that great pitch to bat on. Stubbs was dismissed on the penultimate ball as Bhuvneshwar went for the slower one. Bhuvi now has the second-most wickets in IPL with 193 scalps to his name. 

Ashutosh Sharma, the impact sub, is gone cheaply too. He has been cleaned up by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. DC are struggling for a strong end here now. Vipraj is in with Stubbs.

KL Rahul is gone after the time-out. DC might have thought to press the throttle after the time-out with KLR going first. He has holed it out to long-on.

RCB bowlers have been doing good work here. The spinners and Hazlewood have kept the DC batters in check. DC are at 117/4 after 16 overs.

Hazlewood is having a good time with the ball. He nows gets Axar Patel in the 14th over. DC have just brought up their 100 but they are keep losing wickets. 

Krunal strikes now. The pressure was building and Faf has to pay for not being able to go well. He was struggling and has holed this out to long on, where Kohli takes an easy one and is elated.

Spin from both ends for RCB here. A good tactic from Patidar with both the right-handers at the crease and this pitch seemingly being a bit slow. Suyash and Krunal operating in tandem.

Karun Nair departs on a score of four runs. DC now 44-2 as Yash Dayal takes his first wicket of the game!

Hazlewood strikes. He gets Porel, who was looking so good out in the middle. This was a length ball on the body as Porel wanted to glance it behind but gets a tickle with Jitesh taking it behind. DC have lost their opener. 

Porel slams a one-handed six off Bhuvi here. He did not connect it that well and it went just over Jacob Bethell at deep mid-wicket.

This is a measured start by the Delhi Capitals openers. Just two fours in the first two overs with Porel hitting one on the last ball of the second one from Yash Dayal. This is turning out to be gripping contest between the bat and the ball.

Abhishek Porel and Faf du Plessis are out in the middle as Delhi Capitals are all set to kick off the first innings. Both players will hope for a good start to the game here.

This is a battle for the top spot between these two teams. DC are second, while RCB are breathing under their neck at third. A win for either of them will taken them to the top spot, which is currently held by Gujarat Titans.

Well we came up against Delhi not too long ago. Kind of fresh in the memory. Obviously an away game for us but we feel more comfortable away from home at the moment. Our plans would be similar to what they have been. We will see how we will take it tonight. I think with our bowling attack, we have every base covered to a degree. All our three quicks are very different bowlers. And obviously we have got two world class spinners as well. I feel the spinners particularly in the last few games have pulled us back into the game after a sluggish powerplay in terms of our bowling. I expect no different tonight. If they get off to a flier, we can bring KP and Suyyash in and they will do the job more often than not. Pretty well rounded attack. It is always strange to come up against mates that you have played with for 12-15 years. Hopefully, I never face him. I never do that in the nets.

That is an advantage too but if we had won the toss, I think we would have batted only and use the wicket in the second innings. In the last game, there was no dew but in the game against Mumbai, there was some dew. They had two foreign batters so I wanted to bowl against them. I was bowling with a good rhythm, the plan wasn't to bowl four overs in a row but I kept bowling so I continued with it. Faf is back and the impact player we will decide according to the situation.

We will bowl first. The wicket is quite good to bat on and I don't think it's going to change too much and we like to chase. It's our first win at our home and we will try to continue playing good cricket. In every match, we are trying to improve, so we want to keep learning. Bethell has come in place of Salt.
