New Delhi, Sep 8: Yuvraj Singh, who is making a comeback after recovering from a rare germ cell cancer, is being wished by the cricketing world before his first match Saturday since Nov 2011.




Yuvraj will be taking guard against New Zealand in the first of the two Twenty20s here in Visakhapatnam. This will be his first match in international cricket since India's Test match against the West Indies in Kolkata in November 2011.

Twitter is abuzz with the name of the Punjab cricketer who is trending as #Yuvi and #YuvrajSingh on the social networking site.

English cricketer Kevin Pietersen said: "@YUVSTRONG12 so proud of you buddy! Doing what you've done gives my best mate @JCEtrust so much belief! Enjoy the day pal. Can't wait to see you on the field again!"

The official twitter account of Indian Premier League team Delhi Daredevil tweeted: "Delhi Daredevils wishes Yuvraj Singh the very best as he joins Team India to play against New Zealand."

Yuvraj's own team Pune Warriors India tweeted: "Yuvraj Singh is back! He makes his return to Team India today - Show him your support Warriors!"

Former Australia spinner Shane Warne also wished the 30-year-old cricketer.

"Hey buddy, good luck tomorrow for being back on the field, very proud of you and your determination.. Well done champion."

Former India opener Aakash Chopra wished Yuvraj by tweeting: "Here's wishing Yuvraj Singh all the very best for today's game. Have a great one. God bless."

Teammate and pacer Zaheer Khan, who will be also playing the match against the Kiwis, tweeted a photo collage of them together displaying old photos of the two in the dressing room and said, "Its been a great, long journey together. Excited to finally have you back on the field"

Former Australia batsman Dean Jones said Yuvraj making a comeback is the best story of year so far.

"yuvi is making a comeback today are you going to watch it. A bit late for me.. Best story of the year!!"

Off-spinner Murali Kartik also wished his compatriot.
