West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo on Wednesday became the first cricketer to take 500 wickets in the T20 format. Bravo, appearing for the Trinbago Knight Riders, dismissed St Lucia Zouks' Rakheem Cornwall during a Caribbean Premier League match to achieve the feat. No other bowler has even taken 400 wickets.
It was also his 100th wicket in CPL, making him the first player in the history of the tournament to breach that mark. The next best on the list is RR Emrit with 92 wickets.
Breaking down his 500 wickets, he took 118 of them for Chennai Super Kings, 100 in CPL for Trinbago Knight Riders, 59 for West Indies, 33 each for Trinbago and Trinidad and Melbourne Renegades, 30 for Mumbai Indians, 21 for Dhaka Dynamites, 17 for Gujarat Lions, 15 for Melbourne Stars, 12 for Comilla Victorians, 11 for Dolphins, 10 for Chittagong Kings, 10 for Paarl Rocks, 7 for Middlesex, 7 for Quetta Gladiators, 6 for Victoria, five for Surrey and four for Lahore Qalandars.
Bravo will next play for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020 which begins from September 19 onwards in the UAE.
