Raipur: Jolted by their first loss of the tournament, Northern Knights skipper Daniel Flynn said his side needs to learn some lessons quickly to stay afloat in the ongoing Oppo Champions League T20.

Northern Knights lost by 86 runs in the Group B match against Hobart Hurricanes.

"Obviously it's very disappointing but we have a chance to do something better in the next couple of days as we play another good side, Kings XI Punjab. We have got to look forward and obviously there are some lessons to be learnt," Flynn said in a post match conference.

The Australian side produced a commanding performance to beat the New Zealand side by 86 runs in a Group B match to keep their hopes afloat.

"The ball was getting little bit wet there. Obviously, it had some effect. But they played very well; they had wickets in hand and had ability to come hard on us we didn't quite responded well at the end," Flynn said on being asked whether the dew factor broke their winning spree.

Praising his top order batting line up, he said that the the batsmen had done a good job.

"We back those guys to come and do the job for us unfortunately it didn't quite worked today."
