Melbourne, Dec 22: Australia captain Michael Clarke wants cricket officials to make video replays for contentious decisions a uniform feature or drop the system.
India has refused to allow the Decision Review System—high-speed television cameras and “hot-spot” technology—to be used in the four-test series against Australia beginning Monday in Melbourne.
The visitors say they have concerns about the system's accuracy, ensuring that on-field umpiring decisions will stand.
Clarke told the Sydney Morning Herald in comments published Thursday that it was time for the International Cricket Council to decide whether to use it “in test and one-day cricket, or in one or the other, or not used at all. I find it a little bit inconsistent.”
