Birmingham, June 24 : South Africa's Test team captain Graeme Smith congratulated India for winning the ICC Champions Trophy, saying India were the best team in the tourney.
“Best team in tournament congrats @msdhoni and India,” tweeted Smith, after India beat England by five runs to win the final Champions Trophy here at Edgbaston Sunday.
India had set a target of 130 in 20 overs which the hosts failed to chase down, finishing 124/8 in the rain-marred match.
India were also the joint winners, with Sri Lanka, of the 2002 Champions Trophy.
