London, Jun 12: India coach Duncan Fletcher will fly to South Africa on Tuesday night following the death of his mother, the BCCI has confirmed.
Fletcher watched India beat West Indies by eight wickets at The Oval, but he will now fly to Cape Town to attend the funeral of his mother, before flying back for the team's final Champions Trophy group game against Pakistan at Edgbaston on Saturday.
A spokesman for The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said: "Duncan Fletcher's mother passed away on Sunday. He will fly to Cape Town tonight, but he will be back for the game against Pakistan."
