London, Aug 15: England bowler Stuart Broad has denied having any involvement in a Twitter account set up by a member of the public that poked fun at teammate Kevin Pietersen.
Broad says he is a friend of Richard Bailey, who apologized Monday for creating the account, but "did not . provide Mr. Bailey with any information regarding Kevin Pietersen or the England team."
Broad said Tuesday that "we had no conversations regarding this issue at all and I am pleased that he has now decided to close the parody account."
Pietersen was dropped by England for the third test against South Africa starting Thursday at Lord's for refusing to confirm he hadn't sent "derogatory" text messages to members of the touring team, reportedly about England captain Andrew Strauss and coach Andy Flower.
