Kolkata: The Indian cricket board may move court on the National Cricket Academy land deal, its interim head Jagmohan Dalmiya said here Tuesday.

With the Karnataka High Court ruling the land deal illegal, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has landed in a spot.

The BCCI had reportedly paid nearly Rs.50 crore for procuring about 49 acres of land from the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB)for its the Bangalore-centred NCA but following a series of PILs, the high court annulled the deal.

Dalmiya said the matter was earlier discussed by the BCCI working committee.

"The working committee has been asked to take action. We may go to court as huge amount of money is involved. I have entrusted BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel and chief administrative officer Ratnakar Shetty to look into the matter.

"We have paid the money to a government organisation. But there is problem with the deal. We would like to get our money back," he added.
