Chittagong, Bangladesh, Oct 25: Bangladesh and West Indies drew the rain-affected first test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Tuesday.
Bangladesh declared its second innings at 119-3 at tea on the fifth day, giving West Indies a target of 226 to win, but the touring side reached just 100-2 in 22 overs in its second innings before umpires called it a day with 15 overs to spare.
West Indies lost openers Lendl Simmons for 44 and Kraigg Brathwaite for no run in the final session of the game.
Former Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan had Simmons caught by Rubel Hossain while debutant left-arm spinner Mohammad Ilias Sunny, who took six wickets in the first innings, trapped Kraigg Brathwaite lbw.
Kirk Edwards was unbeaten on 28 with Darren Bravo not out on 24 before the captains agreed to call it a draw.
Shariar Nafees struck 50 runs while Darren Sammy got a wicket for 9 runs.
Earlier, West Indies were all out for 244 in their first knock in reply to Bangladesh's first innings score of 350/9 declared. Ilias Sunny grabbed six wickets for the loss of 94 runs, while Shakib Al Hasan had a figure of 3/53.

Sunny also took four wickets Monday to finish with impressive debut figures of 6-94.
Resuming on 144-5, West Indies lasted only 17 overs and added 100 runs on a spin-friendly pitch at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
In response to Bangladesh's first innings total of 350-9 declared, West Indies remained 106 runs behind in the first innings.
