Dhaka, Bangladesh: Left arm spinner Taijul Islam became the first bowler to claim a hat trick in his limited-overs international debut as Bangladesh took just 30 overs to dismiss Zimbabwe for 128 in the fifth and final one-dayer Monday.

Islam had figures of 4-11, while Shakib Al Hasan (3-30) and Jubair Hossain (3-30) pitched in to dismantle the Zimbabwe batting lineup raise the hopes of a Bangladesh 5-0 series whitewash. Legspinner Jubar Hossain had 2-41.

Hamilton Masakadza top scored for Zimbabwe with 52 and Vusi Sibanda made 37. No other Zimbabwe batsmen could reach double figures after the visitors won the toss and elected to bat first.

Islam completed his hat trick in two overs, starting with Tinshae Panyangra (0) whom he cowed with a lofted delivery in the last ball of his sixth over.

With the next two balls he claimed John Nyumbu (3) and Tendai Chatara (0) to be the fourth Bangladeshi player to claim a one-day hat trick after left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak and pacemen Shahadat Hossain and Rubel Hossan.

Zimbabwe lost opener Sikandar Raza (9) cheaply to Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (1-23) to leave the scoreboard 16-1.

Masakadza and Sibanda settled the innings with 79-run partnership and appeared set to make a big score.

Hossain then claimed Masakadza — who hit five boundaries and three sixes in his 25th half century — to spark a sensational collapse as Zimbabwe lost its nine wickets for just 33 runs.
