London, July 16: England has retained an unchanged 13-man squad for the second Ashes test against Australia starting on Thursday at the Lord's after winning the opening five-match series with a tense 14-run victory.
The only likely change to the starting eleven could see either pace bowlers Graham Onions or Tim Bresnan replace Steven Finn, who struggled in the first test at Trent Bridge. Lord's is Finn's home ground with county side Middlesex. The batting department is almost certain to remain unchanged.
National selector Geoff Miller said on Monday “we have selected the same squad for the Lord's test as this continues to provide options for Alastair Cook and Andy Flower,” adding that his team showed “a great deal of composure” to win an engrossing first Test.
England squad: Alastair Cook (captain), Joe Root, Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Jonny Bairstow, Matt Prior, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Graeme Swann, Steven Finn, James Anderson, Graham Onions.
