London, Jun 6: Fast bowler James Anderson has been left out of the 12-man squad to face West Indies in the third test at Edgbaston starting on Thursday.
England leads the three-match series 2-0 and will likely call on pace bowler Steven Finn to replace Anderson in the team.
England and Wales Cricket Board national selector Geoff Miller says Sunday that Anderson has been omitted “as we look to manage his workload ahead of a busy period of cricket this summer and beyond, a decision which is in the best interests of the team and James himself.”
