Mumbai, Apr 3 : Moments after leading India to a historic World Cup triumph, captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni looked his usual composed self at the post-match press
conference - except for the fact that he could not remember the questions that were being asked to him.
After an emotional lap of honour and the celebrations at the Wankhede stadium, Dhoni walked into the jam-packed press conference room amid applause from the waiting scribes.
But as the press conference started, it became quite apparent that the momentous occasion had got an effect on 'Captain cool' as he was repeatedly forgetting the questions.
As a journalist asked a long-winding question which had two parts, a bemused Dhoni said "I am sorry, I forgot the first part of the question", and burst into laughter himself. It was not just once, but it happened three or four times during the lengthy press conference.
On one occasion, both Dhoni and man-of-the-tournament Yuvraj forgot what was being asked and looked at each other, trying to pass the question to the other.
"I am sorry I am not being able to remember the questions. I have not even started drinking," Dhoni said. PTI
