Dhaka, Dec 3: Umar Gul took four wickets as Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 76 runs in the second one-day international on Saturday to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Gul finished with 4-36 after Pakistan won the toss and scored 262-7 off 50 overs with Umar Akmal contributing a stylish 59 and Shahid Afridi scoring 42.

Bangladesh struggled from the start and finished on 186-7 after falling to 19-4 in the 10th over.

Nasir Hossain smashed his maiden ODI century for the hosts and shared a 106-run partnership with Shakib Al Hasan (34). Man of the match Nasir's 100 came off 134 balls that included 11 boundaries and one six before he was caught by Imran Farhat off Gul with three balls to spare.

None of Bangladesh's top four batsmen could reach double figures. Opener Tamim Iqbal (4) was caught by Younis Khan off Gul, who also claimed No. 4 Mushfiqur Rahim (1). Mohammad Hafeez removed opener Imrul Kayes (6), caught by skipper Misbah-ul-Haq. Hafeez, who ended at 2-15, also trapped No. 3 Shahriar Nafees lbw for 7.

Saeed Ajmal caught and bowled Shakib on 34, while Mahmudullah was unbeaten on 20.

For Pakistan, Akmal hit 59 off 54 balls with five boundaries before he gave a catch to Shafiul from a delivery by Shakib . Younis and Misbah scored 37 each and opener Hafeez made 32.

Shafiul Islam (2-50) and Rubel Hossain (2-58) led the bowling attack for Bangladesh. Shafiul had Farhat caught by Nasir for 4, and also dismissed Afridi. Rubel claimed Hafeez while Razzak dismissed Younis.

Pakistan won the first match by five wickets on Thursday.

Bangladesh had failed to reach 100 runs in both of the tour's previous games, including the one-off Twenty20 match on Tuesday.
