New Delhi: Bangladesh wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim took a dig at Team India after they lost the semi-final against West Indies by 7 wickets at Wankhede Stadium on Thursday.
Just after the match was over, the Bangladesh player tweeted, "Happiness is this....!!! #ha ha ha..!!!! India lost in the semifinal." Rahim also attached a picture of Team India skipper MS Dhoni with the tweet.
Soon after this, Indian fans tolled him on the micro-blogging site reminding the right-hand batsman about the defeat his side had faced in the Super 10 stage against India.
The player was later forced to remove the tweet after the fans left no room for him to defend himself. He was in the thick of the action in India’s thrilling 1-run win over Bangladesh at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Later, Rahim apologised for the tweet by saying he did that because he’s a West Indies fan.
Bangladesh had failed to register a single win in the group stage matches and thus was knocked out of the ICC tournament.
