Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's wedding can easily dub as the 'event of the year', the power couple made headlines everywhere when they tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy on December 11. The long-time duo kept things under the wrap and with around 50 guests in attendance finally performed the rituals. The couple hosted a lavish reception in New Delhi on December 21, 2017, where the high and mighty came and wished the couple well. Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi too attended the wedding reception and congratulated the newly-wed couple.
Fondly called as Virushka, the duo also hosted a grand reception in Mumbai to felicitate their close friends and Bollywood fraternity. The event was attended by some of the biggest names from the film and cricketing fraternity. Some renowned cricketers who attended the big function included former Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Kuldeep Yadav - all shook a leg with the star couple.
Apart from the bride and the groom, it was Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh who stole the show at the party. On Friday, he shared a video of him dancing along with the 'King Khan' - Shah Rukh Khan. On his official Twitter handle, Bhajji described Kohli and Anushka as “Cheeku” and Cheeki” and said that their wedding gave everyone a reason to dance.
At the reception, among the attendees also included people from the sports world and was represented by Chief selector Sandeep Patil, Saina Nehwal, Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Virender Sehwag, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Hardik Pandya, Zaheer Khan, Jaydev Unadkat, Cheteshwar Pujara, Umesh Yadav and many more.
While Bollywood bigwigs such as Rekha, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Kangana Ranaut, Prasoon Joshi, Anurag Kashyap, Lara Dutta, Ramesh Taurani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sidharth Roy Kapur, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Boman Irani, Rajkumar Hirani, newbie Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, Dino Morea, music maestro A.R.
