Considered as one of the most lethal bowlers of his times, veteran Pakistan fast bowler Waqar Younis has won the hearts of billions with a heart-warming message which he posted on his official Twitter handle to send a beautiful message around the world. The 46-year old shared an image of him giving advice to a young Indian fan in England.
The veteran pacer who is an active social media user tweeted a photo with a kid wearing India t-shirt with “yeh dosti hum nahi todenge” written on it. He tweeted the photo with a caption “Cricket have no boundaries !!@cricketworldcup”
The former Pakistan captain was the pillar of strength of his bowling unit during his heydays. With his toe-crushing yorkers and fierce bouncers, Waqar terrorized the best of the batsmen world over. He is presently enjoying his new commentary stint and having fun in the role.
Younis had a legendary career in which he picked up 416 wickets in just 262 One Day Internationals.
Indian and Pakistan are considered as arch rivals in world cricket but since 2012 both the countries have not played an international series, they often play against each other at the ICC tournaments like World Cup or Champions trophy.
Pakistan will face India at the 2019 ICC World Cup at Birmingham on June 14. Pakistan have never beaten India at the World Cup and are 0-6 down in the head-to-head record.
