Indian captain Virat Kohli, coach Ravi Shastri and national selector Sarandeep Singh are leaving no stone unturned in India's preparation for the gruelling five-match Test series against England due to start from August 1.
During an intense training session ahead of the first Test in Birmingham, the skipper was seen giving batting tips to all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. He also gave a pep talk to India No. 3 Cheteshwar Pujara who has not been in the best of form leading into the England tour.
Another allrounder Hardik Pandya also received batting advice from King Kohli during the session. As the England Tests provide the biggest challenge the current Indian team has faced till date, Virat doesn't see any room for complacency.
After finishing his own batting session, Kohli advised his teammates on how to tackle the swinging Duke ball in England.
IndiaTV Sports Editor who is in England to cover the matches said, "The practice session lasted for more than three hours which shows that India want nothing less than a victory in the first Test. Head coach Ravi Shastri talked exclusively with players who will form the middle-order i.e. Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya and Ravi Ashwin."
National selector Sarandeep Singh was not to be left behind as he did several throwdowns of spin to the Indian batsmen, thus providing them necessary practice before the real Test.
