It doesn't take long for Virat Kohli to break records as he commences India's tour of England on a bright note as the 29-year old becomes the fastest Indian to reach 2000 runs in T20I cricket.
The Indian skipper became the fastest cricketer to reach the mark in T20I history and it took Kohli 60 T20I matches to cross the milestone
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma is also in line to reach the 2000 run mark as he required 41 runs. Rohit has played 74 T20I matches which includes two centuries and a best score of 118.
The highest scorer in T20I cricket is currently booked by New Zealand's Martin Guptill who has smashed 2271 runs so far, hammering 2 centuries as well.
Kohli has one zero in his account which doesn't look good against the 21 Test and 35 ODI hundreds he has to his name. Kohli is yet to smash a hundred in T20I cricket and has come as close as an unbeaten 90, which is his highest in the shortest format of the game.
